You need to make an account and sign in to TeamViewer I think (on the right hand box). It’s the only way for me so far.
silentz0rAdministratorChanging the Auto SS/BSS to “as soon as ready” would require to flood the server all the time and check if Soulshots/Spiritshots are enabled, and if not enable them. This would cause huge lags for everyone and is not a nice solution. We will try to chnage the way Auto SS/BSS works, but for now we have much more important issues. It’s fine for farming for now, and you can always use them manually in PVP if you want the reduced casting time.
silentz0rAdministratorHello @paqryk, we are working on a simple registration script right now, sorry to keep you waiting. I will update the first post in a little bit with what you will need to do. I’m also very sorry you’ve lost every hope for this server, as it will be here for quite some time.
silentz0rAdministratorWe will do our best to fix this, but until then yes – you cannot lose focus from L2.exe window or it’s going to crash (doesn’t matter if you’re full screen, windowed mode, if you use alt-tab or windows button). It’s the fact that the window loses focus that makes it crash.
I know this is really annoying and we’re doing our best. I have noticed that running TeamViewer (justs launching it, not connecting anywhere) makes L2.exe stable as a rock, I can do my work properly and have L2 running in the background. I know it’s a silly fix but it’s a fix for now, especially if you are using TeamViewer (TeamViewer is official software, all you have to do is download it and let it run in the background – it won’t do anything to your computer, you also don’t need to use it in any way. Just let it run there).

EDIT: You need to create a TeamViewer account and sign in (on the right hand window, “Computers & Contacts). Also try disabling Desktop composition for L2: http://i.imgur.com/6gOhkIZ.png
silentz0rAdministratorHello there and welcome,
we’re glad you enjoy our server. We have fixed the Win7 issues. I personally can run L2 for many hours, it’s never crashed for me (on Win7 64bit with a 2 year old graphics card and 4GB of ram). You can try launching L2.exe and then go to task manager (ctrl+shift+escape), find L2.exe in the processes tab and try to set affinity to only 1 core.
I have some more ideas so let me know whether that works or not.

silentz0rAdministratorGreat share, thanks.
silentz0rAdministratorI believe the crashes have been fixed, so if you could log in and do what you were doing the last few times the server crashed, it would be really helpful to see if it will crash again. So far the server’s been up for 20 hours and there hasn’t been a single crash, but please login and follow your usual routines online.
If anyone has concerns about donations and how things work then let us know but just telling each other off is not nice, especially in a BETA discussion thread which is meant for BETA issues. You can always make a new thread and explain your points.
Also @Rinem it’s not nice of you to say that “you’re done until server goes live”. If you don’t want to help that’s fine, but bragging about it is not.
silentz0rAdministratorAlt-tab doesn’t really work, and crashes the client. We don’t know the reason yet, but I have noticed that if some programs are running before you launch L2 (programs such as TeamViewer), you can alt-tab and run more clients etc.
Make sure you allocate enough virtual memory by:

silentz0rAdministratorI think this is similar to a weird message when you log in sometimes which displays “Irregular system speed”. Restarting fixes is so far.
silentz0rAdministratorAnd what are you doing specifically at the moment of the crash?
silentz0rAdministratorDoing a hard reboot on the server atm.
silentz0rAdministratorLoading the default DLL, so there will be some things not working properly. This is just to test the server crashes.
silentz0rAdministratorThe problem is that before the BETA, the server would stay up for days and wouldn’t crash. This must be caused by user actions, imo.
silentz0rAdministratorWhat toolpunk said. We don’t wanna check every armor because we can easily fix it (and that’s why we’re not checking them at the moment). Right now we are looking for major server bugs that we need to fix (like those crashes). The balancing part will take place while the server is live.
We are probably half way through the BETA stage, but you never know what might come up.
