Thanks for the report. Fixed and should work fine after the next server restart!
June 4, 2014 at 6:09 pm EEST in reply to: [GR]problem for saint spear berserker and soul seperator critical damage #2064silentz0rAdministratorThanks for the report. I can confirm that Soul Separator Crtitical Damage works now, Saint Spear Berserker will be changed soon.
silentz0rAdministratorThanks for this, although I’m not a fan of installing extra software. We have suggested a much simpler workaround to this issue:
– Hit Enter (on chat) before alt-tabbing.
When the chat window is focused, your client will never crash after switching windows.
silentz0rAdministratorI have merged all your topics together, don’t post your topic until it’s final and definitely don’t make 8 topics for 2 issues.
silentz0rAdministratorFinal Update: Everything is fine again.
silentz0rAdministratorI wrote a news article about this, our ISP is having issues. I’m on the phone with them right now trying to get this resolved.
silentz0rAdministratorIt’s Greek. ToNy, please use English or posts might be removed. You can always PM me if you need to say something in Greek.
silentz0rAdministratorGreat, then everything is pointing towards the ISP. The issues seems to be fixed now, I’ve tweaked the restart scripts a bit so next time this happens the server won’t be auto-restarting (as there is no point to that) but it will rather stay online until the issue is fixed (hopefully this won’t be happening again, but we’d rather be prepared).
silentz0rAdministratorCP is based on the CON character stat. CON is how much maximum HP you have, so the more CON the greater your max HP, and hence higher CP. Therefore any class that is high CON (Warlords, DA etc.) are missing way more than Leather/Cloth classes by disabling CP. You can even check yourself by making a Tank class and checking how much CP they have at high levels (it shows the correct amount even though it doesn’t work).
What I like about C3 is that every class is Overpowered in some way (except for Warlocks, they really suck) which makes PvP even more interesting. Sometimes a mage will get 3shot by a TH, sometimes the mage will nuke the TH down so fast he won’t even know what hit him. Same goes with pretty much every class, and over the past few years we’ve been trying to boost the less fortunate classes.
silentz0rAdministratorAs I mentioned before we might replace the C4 weapons with the old C3 ones (God’s Blade instead of Forgotten Blade, Dragon’s Tooth instead of Angel Slayer) but I wouldn’t replace Dual God’s Blade with Dual DLE. Remember that this server is based on old L2Extreme.
silentz0rAdministratorI’ve never seen that bow. Any images/official links?
silentz0rAdministratorWe have working CP but decided to disable it since old C1/C2/C3 privates didn’t have CP either, I know it was C3 feature etc. but I really dislike the idea of spamming CP pots. We are looking for ways to compensate CON based classes (Tanks) for that, as without CP mages didn’t really lose much but tanks are missing out – one of those being several passive skills which would toggle at low % HP are always on to give Tanks a boost.
silentz0rAdministratorThe server has been up for 15 hours 55 minutes as I type this message, so I guess this was still the ISP’s fault. I need as much details as possible to write some scripts that will handle situations like this:
1) The server was restarting approximately every 30 minutes. Were you able to log in to the server after the restart?
2) Was there any lag while the server was up (between restarts)?
3) @verdi , the lag that you mentioned was after this situation was resolved. Could you give me any details as to what sort of lag there was? i.e. item lag (soulshots not activating, potions not being consumed), net lag (character was unresponsive/you clicked and the char moved after a few seconds, typing in chat didn’t show up instantly). The most important question is if you were able to play in between restarts, because the server’s hostname couldn’t be resolved (this means that my scripts thought the server had no internet connectivity and were trying to restart the server).
Thanks for the feedback guys.
silentz0rAdministratorHey everyone, apparently our ISP had some issues and were restarting their services very often – which means that the server was automatically restarting too. It seems like everything is back to normal now, let us know if you notice anything again.
silentz0rAdministratorGreat job man, thanks for making this!
