I have found logs from both Hyperion and Arienna. They both show that they sent some bad packets, and therefore the characters are getting in that lockdown state. This makes sense, as you used both from the same computer. Since this has happened twice in a row for you, I would guess that something is messing with your computer (either a virus, or an anti-virus deleting files).

Until I tweak the security feature, I would suggest trying a different computer, running a virus scan (Microsoft Security Essentials is MS’s free AV), and finally trying a different network.

Server’s restarted, but please try my suggestions to avoid this.

Sorry, I’ve been rather busy and only just got the time to check up on things.

You mean you were just walking and the character froze? Did anyone else experience the freeze or was is just Arienna? Approximately what time did this happen so I can check the server logs?

There’s no IP limit whatsoever.

Unless the server automatically restarts, I’d rather not have a restart until I look into this issue a bit further. Let me know as soon as possible.

EDIT: Final and most important question: Do you have an anti-virus on your PC? If so, can you check if it blocks /system/fire.dll?

This is a known (but uncommon) bug. So far the only solution is a server restart, which will be happening soon anyway.

Can you tell me exactly what happened before this? What did you do before you logged out? Any information can help track this down.

Προφανως και θα προτιμουσαμε να ηταν λιγο μεγαλυτερο το community, αλλα δεν περναει απο το χερι μας ακριβως. Ενας C3 server δεν μπορει να ειναι πρωτος σε λιστες με τοσους μεταγεννεστερους servers. Κυριως εξαρταται απο τον κοσμο που ψαχνει για C3 server το ποσος κοσμος θα ειναι online.

Για το Vote Reward και να βρεθει κατι θα πρεπει να το ξαναγραψω απο την αρχη για λογους security, κυριως θελω να δω πως λειτουργει και αν χρησιμοποιει καποιο API απο τα topsites.

Γεια χαρα, ειμαστε εγω και ο toolpunk που τρεχουμε και διαχειριζομαστε τον server κυριως σαν project το οποιο εχουμε ξεκινησει απο το 2009. Λογω δουλειας και εκτος L2 υποχρεωσεων δεν μπορουμε να ειμαστε online συνεχεια, οποτε προσπαθουμε με τα forums να ακουμε τι εχουν να πουν οι παιχτες. Ισως αρχισουμε να κοιταμε για GMs ξανα.

Μην ξεχνατε οτι αυτο ειναι ενα παλιο παιχνιδι που κυριως θα το βρει καποιος που το ψαχνει και θελει το συγκεκριμενο Chronicle, οποτε προωθηση και διαφημιση δεν παιζουν μεγαλο ρολο. Μας ειναι αρκετο οτι ειμαστε το πρωτο Google result οταν ψαξει καποιος για “L2 C3 server” και οτι βρισκομαστε στις toplists, χωρις να ειμαστε πρωτοι.

Για τις ατελειες και τα bugs εχουμε τα Bug Report και Suggestions sections στο forum που λειτουργουν ακριβως οπως θελουμε – οι παιχτες αναφερουν bugs και εμεις τα διορθωνουμε η ζηταμε παραπανω πληροφοριες. Αν εχεις βρει bugs η πραματα που θες να προτινεις γραψτα στο forum, τα ingame PMs συνηθως παραμελουνται επειδη δεν υπαρχουν ταξινομημενα καπου.

Οσο για το Vote Reward System το εχουμε σκεφτει και ισως να το βαλουμε καποια στιγμη, αλλα λογω παλαιοτητας των ηδη υπαρχοντων Vote Systems πρεπει να γραψουμε καινουριο συστημα απο την αρχη (οπως με το registration system μας). Αν εχεις κατα νου κατι που μπορει να βοηθησει μπορεις να το ποσταρεις εδω.

Τελικως thread με τιτλο “Server is Dead” δεν βοηθαει ιδιαιτερα καποιον καινουριο που τυχον να ερθει, δεν νομιζεις? Επισης αν μπορεις βαζε prefix στην αρχη των thread σου [GR] η [GRE] για την γλωσσα.

Hi, we’ve had this issue in the past.

We haven’t created vista7.dll, so we can’t know for sure that it is not a trojan. With that said, vista7.dll is a “hack” in order to get C3 working in Windows Vista/7/8, as the game was originally only developed for WinXP.
