For Windows all versions of Windows after XP:
Before trying anything, first update your client by launching LineageII.exe in your L2 directory. Then try any of the following:
- Make sure you hit Enter or click the chat box before you alt-tab, so that the chat window is focused.
- Upgrading to Windows 10 resolves the issue, Alt+Tab works perfectly. We strongly recommend Windows 10.
- Try installing Windows XP on a Virtual Machine (such as VirtualBox or VMWare), then sharing your L2 folder with the VM.
